Helambu trek in the Langtang region is also considered short and easy trek popular for rich culture and nature throughout the trails and valleys. Helambu region is relatively un spoilt despite being so close to Kathmandu city. The trek offers you deep insight of buddhist culture with ancient monasteries, shrines, stupas and prayer flags. Majority of the region is predominantly occupied by sherpa people of Hyolmo Ethnic and community. Hyolmo people are known for its distinct culture, traditions and simplicity way of life. Languages, culture and tradition of Helambu region is also very similar to the people in the Langtang and Gosainkunda area.
