Equipment Checklist
Hiking and Trekking in the mountains of Nepal require preparation of equipments and essential trekking gears . Remote trekking areas of Nepal can only provide basic fooding and lodging, therefore it is very essential to prepare accordingly prior to the start of the trek. It is always very important to carry essential equipments, specially for shelter, food and protection so that these equipments and accessories can help you in general as well as very critical situation. Trekking equipments provide both safety and comfort to ensure full enjoyment during your trekking tour. We do fully recommend you to fully equipped with all essential accessories and equipments as in worst case scenario, it will not only cause discomfort but can be a life threatening.
If you have missed to bring any essential equipment or gears, most of the trekking equipments, gears and accessories with great quality can be purchased in shops in Kathmandu, Nepal. Most of them are manufactured in locally in Nepal and additionally some are imported from China.
Need of trekking equipments depends on the type of the trek, time of the trek, weather conditions and altitude. However,For you reference, we have followings checklist to recommend for most of the treks :
